Fresh water & beach fishing
Sand le Mere Holiday Village has a beautiful well-stocked fishing lake with a wide variety of fish. If you are staying on the park, you are very welcome to relax and enjoy - all you will need is a rod licence. Lake fishing is run by a separate company, simply go down to the lake and take a peg and the bailiff will visit you to receive payment. The costs are £5 per day, £7 per weekend or £15 per week…
…additionally, anyone can go on the beach and sea fish – our annual fishing competition is extremely popular!
Sea fishing is available from the beach at Sand le Mere Holiday Village.
Rules
The following rules apply when fishing the lake at Sand le Mere Holiday Village:
- Landing nets must be used at all times
- Barbless hooks only
- Ground bait in moderation
- Dawn to dusk only
- Juniors under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- Every angler must have a disgorger
- Every guest must have a rod licence
- Keep nets in matches only
- No floating bait
- No parking on the road
- Must break your pole down in the pedestrian area of the lake
